Tonight someone came to my door and exclaimed, while eyeing my massive belly, "Woh! You sure are going to have a healthy baby!"
Here is how I longed to respond: "And you sure are going to have a swollen neck after I punch you in the jugular."

Are you feeling contractions yet? In my experience it does not take long after the plug comes detached, that you will be in serious labour. Is your mom out there ready to help yet? I hope so, cuz I think it won’t be long. God bless Amanda and Steve. Soon you will be holding your new little angel.

Since you are just sitting around waiting to have a baby, I thought it might be interesting to introduce myself and tell you I love reading your stories and seeing your pictures. I found you on the baby blogs web list. I think you are holding yourself quite beautifully for being 10 months pregnant.
I wanted to add that I am almost 34 weeks myself with my second. I had just been looking in a mirror and thinking about how I am going to get so much bigger in the next 6 weeks. But when I went to the grocey store yesterday, a woman came up to me and said, “Girl, you look like you were supposed to have that baby yesterday!” Ha ha ha. But I was too tired to go for the juguler. Blessings!

I bet someone made a book of “funny things to say to a pregnant woman”. I’m pretty sure I heard them all when I was pregnant- and lucky for those people’s jugulars that I am not violent.
Just laught it off- it’s peoples ignorance that causes them to think and say those things.
Just try not to take it out on Steve, I know it’s probably tempting right about now. (And you will have a healthy baby but it has nothing to do with the size of your tummy!)
