My first two weeks of maternity leave were filled with nesting chores. I worked hard to get this place ready for the arrival of our baby. Now that I’ve made a significant dent in my to-do list, I have taken to spending the mornings at the beach with all of the other great mommas I know. We bring snacks and watch the kids hurl fistfuls of sand in each other’s faces. It’s great. I can’t wait to bring my baby girl to the beach and dip her tiny little toes in the water. Next summer I’ll help her master the art of sand-throwing.
10 days away. I am trying not cling to my due date as a beacon of hope, for there’s no telling how overdue I may actually go, but for now it’s fun to have a countdown that can be contained on my two hands.

Ooohhh… I hope you are on time, if not a few days early. :)
Ditto.
And you guys are HAWT!
Every night I fall asleep wondering if I’ll get a call in the middle of the night. And you’d better call me!
You make me feel like I am really missing out on something good. I wish I could go on maternity leave. Of course, the office would shut down — but it might be fun! I am 7/27, so good luck!
Amanda, how exciting it is to be so close to your due date. Soon girl soon. I can’t wait as I’m sure you can’t either. Or your mom. Is she going to be with you when baby is born? I’m praying for you.
10 days away!!!! I hope that she is early just so you don’t have to wait a whole ten more days to hold your beautiful baby girl
