Karenna’s fourth birthday party was held at a horse ranch in town. I wrote about it here, and this is one of my favourite photos of the evening.

I am a born city slicker, but having kids who love cowboy boots and horses has made me warm to the (kind of gross) aroma of barns and horse dung.
