Let’s Get Rid of That Summer Foot!

Today I am going for a badly needed pedicure.  I have only had one real salon pedi done in my life and I loved it, but I am pretty sure this one’s going to be a kajillion times better since it’s been ages since I’ve been able to reach my own toes and they are in dire need of some attention.  I am fully prepared for the esthetician to gasp in horror at my crooked toe nails, chipping polish and flaky heels, but hey, I can just blame it on the belly bump that hinders my foot care.

I would love to be one of those ladies who gets weekly manicures, monthly touch ups on her dye job, and relaxation massages whenever the need arises.  I think that I could really get used to the spa lifestyle…if it weren’t so crazily expensive!  I am sure that this pedicure will run me around $60, at least.  That’s a fair wad of loot to spend just so your feet don’t look like dirty monkey toes.   Owell, like I said, I’m blaming it on the bump.  That’s my new slogan.  Why did you just eat a litre of ice cream?  The bump.  Why did you just sleep for three hours on your desk at work?  The bump.  Why haven’t you vacuumed the stairs in a month?  The bump.

I am going to miss this bump and all of the liberties it affords.

  • Pedicures when you’re pregnant are the BEST!
Enjoy every minute of it (and don’t think about the cost…really…how often do you get to do this!)

  • you know if you go to a place that trains esthitians then its cheaper i got one for i think 15$

  • Enjoy your pedicure! You deserve it. :)

  • Might as well use the excuse while you can.

But I wonder how much pleasure you will get from your pedicure if you can’t actually see your feet ;)

  • And what a bump it is. You are a beautiful preggy lady and you deserve the high life. Enjoy!

  • The excuse doesn’t expire when the bump disappears! Then you get to say, I couldn’t vaccum I was looking after YOUR child all day. Lol.

  • Enjoy your pedicure. Take advantage on being pregnant, I loved being spoiled because of the bump. Its a good thing.
