I’ve got this friend, Krista. She’s a stay-at-home mom to three girls very close in age to ours and her friendship is invaluable. When I first met her, I was wary of whether we’d ever be close: she bakes her own bread, she home-schools her kids, and she doesn’t like wine. But then I got to know her and all of my preconceived notions about her fell to pieces. She is honest and positive and encouraging and fun and an inspiration in so many realms and I am so thankful for how she and her family have found their way into our lives.
One of the best things I love about her is how she’s constantly dreaming up these super-fun party ideas and is always looking for ways to make the everyday extra special. So when she called me up and said, “Hey! Want to do a lemonade stand with the older girls?” I knew I wanted to be a part of it. She is so good at dreaming up the details, and I can bake a mean cupcake, so together we put this little diddy together:
Lemonade, Sun Tea, Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes and two really cute little girls.
It’s something I never would have thought to do on my own, so here’s to friends who make you better.

She is pretty awesome, isn’t she? :)
Aw, I wish I’d known about it. I would have swung by with the kids!
So wonderful! And mmmmm cupcakes!
So cute! Did the girls have fun? I would have loved to drive by this stand, I’ve never been to one that serves delicious looking cupcakes too!
Oh geez. I am thrilled to be one of your close friends and value our friendship more than you’ll ever know. Not sure where I would be in life without your ridiculous, risque humor. Thanks for all your kind words!
