I ordered some new glasses and they arrived today. When I put them on for Steve, his exact words were, “Those are HORRIBLE!” and then he laughed. Hard. So, what say you? Do I send them back? Or keep them?
I need more to go with (video or pictures)
…umm…with a cute wool coat and skinny jeans, I could go with this vibe. But then at church with a flowery dress, not so much. Do you have an alternate pair to wear for dressy? then yes.

I agree with SarahD. I think they are super cute on you but they require a certain kind of outfit. Do you have another, more classic pair you can switch them out with sometimes?
Hailey May 3, 2011
I think they look amazing!!! They suit you, tell Steve he’s wrong and that he’s out of the loop, they’re super fashionable…ha ha. I don’t care what anybody else says, I think you should keep them:)
I like them but can you handle your hubby laughing at you and mocking them everytime you wear them? Cuz, you know he will.

I have bought things that have got that response from Andy but then when he’s seen it in a whole outfit he has ‘dot it’ and recognised it can look good. That being said, once I get a negative review from someone I have a hard time wearing something much after that, whoever it is, so I would send it back because I am not going to be 100% sure wearing it after that.. I remember a floral skort my Dad didn’t like when I was 10 I never really wore much again and a white Tommy Hilfiger jacket I loved but once someone pointed out it looked like a lab coat on the second time I wore it, it rarely made it out my closet again.
The colours are fantastic with you hair, the technical fit looks okay but it’s hard to tell with a slightly sideways shot. They are the latest fashion (I work in the eyeglass industry) but I’m not sure they are you? They seem more bookish than your style.
I like them, but I do like the ones you were wearing yesterday morning better on you.
I’m with everyone above who says to keep them. Having two looks to play with is far more fun.

I like the tortoise shell color with your coloring but I think they are too big for your face. Smaller scale and maybe more square? Glasses are so hard.
Kristin May 4, 2011
Hmmm…I think they are fine, though I don’t know if I think they are “you”. That said, your style is allowed to change, and I’m no style editor, so I figure if you can wear them confidently, then WORK IT! Confidence and a smile is always radiant. And you are radiant to begin with.

I don’t comment terribly often, but I have to jump in on this one! (I do have glasses, don’t have kids. :))I have multiple frames, so I choose my glasses du jour based on my outfit and/or mood. Feeling retro, wearing something hip, or just going for the librarians-are-awesome vibe? Then KEEP them for those days. I personally adore those frames! I am feeling a trip to the online retailer Zenni to find some tortoise shell glasses.
But I agree with some other commenters. Those probably aren’t great everyday frames, just because they make such a statement and not every outfit/day calls for a statement.
You can definitely pull them off! But I agree with some that they are a bit large for your face. They sort of steal the attention from your beautiful eyes and smile and might clash with a chunky necklace or a pretty hairstyle. I think mixing it up would be good, but if you are looking for something for every day, maybe something more versatile would be better. Thanks for letting us weigh in!!

i love ’em! i like that they’re big, that makes them fun. like some of the others have said, maybe not for every day all day but if they’re for driving or reading or going shopping or to see a band play they’re totally awesome and totally in right now.
I just briefly started reading the comments, but I was going to write something very similar to Arianne. I like them as a sometimes fun accessory, but I don’t know if I would personally choose them as an everyday pair of glasses. That being said, your face, your choice, RAH RAH RAH! FIST PUMP!
Jill May 4, 2011
Too big….You have such a gorgeous petite face they are over whelming….but as a second fun pair they are great! Maybe use them as the sexy school teacher in the bedroom & Steve will like them more :P

I like them – but I like big glasses, I just bought a new pair myself… if you want to see them, check out:
I like them, a lot! They’re the kind of accessory that swank up track pants – mums need that – like wine and grilled cheese.
Hmm, maybe not the best metaphor but they still look great on you!

More pictures would help me decide. I’m sorta in the middle…
I like them a lot but I like what SarahD said about them
“…umm…with a cute wool coat and skinny jeans, I could go with this vibe. But then at church with a flowery dress, not so much. Do you have an alternate pair to wear for dressy? then yes.”
Maybe they are too much of a change from what people are used to style-wise. I guess it depends what your usual style is.

I heard the bigger frames are back in style! You look awesome in whatever you wear! If you like them keep them. Guys usually have no style anyways.
I like them.
I don’t hate them…but I don’t love them either. They are cute, but I don’t think they are everyday cute. Does that make sense? Hope it helps!
You should post a video so we can see them in action!
Send them back. sorry :)

Love love love, keep keep keep!
I love them so I say keep them.
I think they look great on you!
Send them back. I really like you, just not the glasses ;)
Oh, and I forgot to say that they remind me of “the” snowsuit.
Beautiful!!! Totally keep. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. They look amazing on you!
I LOVE them! Steve will get used to them.
I love them. They look adorable on you!
I’m with the others- cute if the outfit goes/for special occasion but not as everyday glasses. But yes, you are beautiful either way.
Not really sure what is horrible about them. I think they’re cute – love the tortise shell coloring. They’re sassy and smart looking.
I say Keep.

totally geek chic! love ’em!

Make sure you scroll down though to the section “new specs” because I’m wearing my old ones in the first picture in this post…
I do have agree with Amie though… if my husband doesn’t like something, silly as it is, I hardly ever wear it… something to consider.
I really like them!
I don’t hate them, but I don’t think they suit you.

You’re pretty but the glasses..not so much. You can find better ones. They are a bit male school teacher..

I think they would look in either black or brown, but not both at once…the shape is wonderful for your face though..don’t change that!
LOVE!!!!
SOOO… what did you decide???? :)
