She can’t pull herself up to a standing position yet but she can hold herself semi-steadily if I give her something to hold onto. It kind of reminds me how I was never able to do a chin-up on my own, but during fitness testing in high school gym class I could do the arm hang, at chin level, with arms quivering in exertion, for about eight seconds before my sweaty plams slipped from the bar and I collapsed in a heap on the mats below.
Man, I hated PE.

YOU AND ME BOTH! Lucky for me I have a “bad knee” and was exempted from PE.
That halter top is too cute. Thanks for the visit today!
:)
cute! And chin-ups are killer. I could never do them, either.
Love the little hair swirl. Avelyn is such a cutie pie! I don’t know many folks who liked P.E. I know I certainly didn’t. Good thing it’s over and exercise is now optional.
I’m digging the ‘do. Avelyn can’t stand, but her hair sure can!
How. CUTE. is. SHE??? SOOO CUTE! great photo amanda :) PE needs a serious overhaul… hopefully before our kids get to school.
I was never very good at Phys-Ed either. And I just DREADED track and field. What is the point of High Jump anyways?
I could throw the shot put about 2 feet.
Avelyn is as cute as ever!
Ahhh – so cute. I love watching her grow. My little girl (also my first) is almost exactly 2 months younger then Avelyn. It’s amazing to see Avelyn reach milestones and then Maggie gets there, like clockwork, two months later.
SO cute; love her workout gear! ;)
If it makes you feel any better, most women can’t do a chin-up. However, my guess is that you’ll never be suspended from a branch in the wilderness with a chin-upstanding between you and survival, so I wouldn’t worry.
I trained specifically do to a chin-up (I’m weird) a few years back, and I did *one.* Woo.
Oh! Sooooooooo cute!
