Things may be slow here on the ol’ blog, but they are racing past at warp speed in real life. The days have been filled to the brim with snuggling a baby, pumping my 18-pound bosom every couple hours, breaking up fights, driving kids to school and activities, apple harvest, a husband who has taken up hunting (he gets to spend dozens of hours away from the house, scouring the woods for wildlife. I think I might take up hunting too…and go for a six hour nap in the forest), sleepless nights and, oh yeah, I’ve decided to become a real estate agent! I’ll have the next five months to complete the training then come the spring I’ll don a power suit and make a quick million selling property in our fine town. Hahahaa!
Life is CRAZY. But so good. Truth be told, I feel better after this, the birth of our third child, than I did after the first two. I don’t know if it’s just that life was already so chaotic that I’ve barely noticed the way things have ramped up, but I feel great. Tired, yes. But happy and busy and thankful.
So thankful.

Awwww!!!! I’m glad you’re in such a good place right now. Those four definitely are something to be thankful for!
Awesome about the real estate thing! I definitely think you’ll do great.
Great photo!
It’s great to hear you are happy and well :) Hunting … what a great idea!
SERIOUSLY! What is with this hunting thing? Robin has STARTED hunting this year too! I make fun of him and AL, like, “oh how was your nature walk?” or “maybe I’ll take up hunting and go for a picnic in the peaceful woods”. WHAT THE!?! Haha!
I’m happy he’s happy, but I want him to capture something soon, so that all his “hiking” isn’t for nothin’! Geesh! And also I want to see if he changes his mind after he has to bleed out a dear! Yum! Ahhhh!
Love the photo!! Isn’t that lovely family feeling THE BEST? Chaotic and crazy busy but THE BEST! Enjoy!
You will make a great real estate agent.
I think you’re on to something with the hunting idea. I always wondered why the guys never come home with anything, now I know they are “tracking” (read snoozing).
Glad you’re feeling great.
Take care
I love you guys.
Such a beautiful picture! I agree….the transition from 2 to 3 kids was the easiest for me, too…most likely as you said because we’re already going so many million miles an hour! I always enjoy your posts :)
I’m so thankful my husband doesn’t hunt (his Dad and brother do). Are you really going to do real estate? I couldn’t tell if you were joking or not. It seemed too random to be a joke. I think you would do well!
Aww! What an awesome post!
Congrats on the realtor training! You’ll look fabulous in a power suit. :)
And that photo is too precious. The only thing missing is YOU. :)
Aww hunting season, not my favorite that is for sure. Weekends stuck home waiting to see if your husband makes it home or gets stuck in the bush ;) I too am in the mids of my Real Estate training…fun times
My husband doesn’t hunt either, but he does like to blacksmith in the backyard where he turned our backyard fireplace into a forge. Its crazy but at least there are nice fires to sit by and just veg and watch him do his thing.
