I’ll have you know that my daughter’s nasty bald patch on the back of her head has been growing in nicely this month. Her hair is thickening up and this morning I put some scrunching gel in the tangled mop to try and bring out the curls. There are a few wild tendrils but the most of her hair is just kind of bendy/wavy/untamed. Kind of like mine.
Lately a few people have told me that Avelyn is starting to look less like a Mini-Steve and a little more like me. I don’t really agree, but it’s nice to hear, seeing as I played a part in the whole deal. Sometimes I look down at her sitting on the floor and it’s as though I am seeing a two-foot long Steve in a pink onesie, gumming a teething ring.
I had a package of Mini Eggs today and may I just say that those chocolatey little gems were the highlight of my day? Is is true that people in the States can’t get Cadbury chocolate? Because that’s tragic. If there are any Americans reading this who have never tasted a Cadbury Mini Egg, please comment and I just might be compelled enough to ship you some.
They’re like the Good News…you gotta share it.

I live in the states (Ohio) and I say that Mini Eggs are hands down the best thing about spring/Easter. I have to physically restrain my self at the grocery store to not buy the huge bag!
Naaa… the USA has Cadbury everything – especially around Easter. LOL.
Lucky for me I don’t like chocolate so the mini-eggs and everything else can stay in my bedroom closet un-molested for a month until the Easter Bunny needs them to fill baskets.
This year we’ll have a French student staying with us over Easter – I want to make him up a basket too but I wonder what kind of ‘stuff’ he’s use to over in Southern France at Easter?
Hmmmmmm.
We do get them, but what you’re probably hearing is that our Cadbury is made by a different company than the Cadbury chocolate in the UK. If you bought a mini-egg in the US and ate it directly after a mini-egg from the UK, you’d puke on your shoes. No comparison.
Mmmm…Milk Tray. UK Milk Tray…
Also? Oh my GOD, you look gorgeous in that photo
I’m way too distracted by your gorgeousness to even look at Avelyn to see if she looks like you. Actually she is beautiful like you… And mini eggs are my favoritist thing in the entire world. I bought a bag today too. And I’m amazed it has lasted longer than an hour. (Because the one I bought yesterday sure didn’t)
Mmm, mini eggs, mmm!
Avelyn is looking super cute. Her curls will come. :)
Heck those are a couple hotties in that picture! Great shot!
I am seriously lacking in Cadbury Mini Eggs here is Korea. I have been thinking of them the past few weeks, wishing I had some. Oh well, I will survive!
We have Cadbury eggs in the states…they are the best. The only choco my hubby will eat…Avelyn is so cute. At least I am not the only mom that puts products in a babies hair!!!
Mmmm….mini eggs….mmmmm…cream eggs….
Tried them! Loved them! Not as much as Lance, but never-the-less worth mentioning!
:O)
That is such a great picture! It’s so much fun when your kids stop looking identical to one parent, and start looking like themselves. While I do think Mini Eggs are great, I would die for an Easter Cream Egg. I have six in my kitchen. I will probably eat them all while scrapbooking tonight…..
As has been stated, that is a gorgeous photo of you, and your hair looks beautiful. MiniEggs? Bring ’em on. Why only Easter though? (oh, and Christmas now, excuse me)…I love them too much for that.
Cute pic (as always). Have you heard anything from the editor yet?
We are not deprived of Mini Eggs, see http://www.flickr.com/photos/slackmistress/408135804/
Seriously! How cute are you both!?!?! I just love seeing pics of your little girl! Ohh! She is sooooo cute!
Va Va Voom! Check out the Mrs. You are smoking chiquita!
Mini Eggs are the absolute best! I have yet to taste on this year, though. Awesome picture (I think the above comments say it all). You should take pictures of the bald patch as it grows in. Lauren has a massive patch and I think I just may take a photo because once it grows in, it’s hard to remember. Sounds wierd, but I didn’t with the other girls and can’t remember how they looked sans hair in the back (and now I can’t compare).
Our son had the same bald spot and we had this fabulous combover going for a while. That bald patch turned into the thickest hair later…should have used some gel on him too!
She is adorable!
