Yesterday I took Avelyn to the Fall Fair where we looked at prize-winning produce. I found I had a little too much in common with the pumpkin.
And will you look at that? I made that illustration all by myself! I have been meaning to tinker away in Adobe Illustrator for a few months now but it always got pushed to the back burner. Last week I was asked to design a logo for work and in the few hours I spent on it I learned more about the program than in six months of procrastination. Before you know it I’ll be just like SAJ . A girl can dream.
PS:Â Still no baby.

Hey, that’s good illustration! I was wondering where on earth would you would have found that picture.
C’mon baby. We’re all waiting for you.
I know this is cheesy and pretty lame, but every day of the TWELVE!!! days I was overdue, I’d tell myself that every day she was in there meant that she would come out that much stronger, that much healthier.
Very cute!!! I’m impressed!
Would you tell that baby to hurry up? (As if you already haven’t!!!)

You really are getting good! I’m so proud of you. I’m also loving the illo :)
Waiting (patiently!) for the call that you are in labour…
The feet are my favourite!
very impressive artwork, i must say. I can only draw stickmen…even with a computer program. It’s sad, really. I can’t believe little baby Hilda is taking her sweet time. Seriously child, enough is enough.
I feel you! My September baby kept me waiting, too. Hang in there. It’ll be any day now. Great picture, btw
Aw shucks. Thanks, you. I think your illo is perfect. It has what many many many artists can’t pull off no matter how hard they try. And that is a wicked sense of humor. You could be funny even if you drew with your foot (which Illustrator sometimes feels like!)
Did that come out wrong? I’m so bad at compliments. I totally didn’t mean your drawing looks like you drew it with your foot! Ack.
What is it with September babies? Two years ago today, I was soooo in your shoes! Go get a pedicure…they are a great break, and you never know, could put you into labour :)
You’re doing really well with Illustrator. I learned the basics in a day when I was handed a deadline at work. Once you get the basic idea of how the adobe sets up their commands you become a pro in no time at all. They also have video tutorials on the adobe site so you can watch someone go through the motions. So much easier than reading a dry tutorial.
I love your bedding! That crib looks so cozy and comfortable. Wishing you some contractions……..real ones.
Awesome job with Illustrator.
Keeping my fingers crossed that baby comes soon!
Come on baby, show your cute little mug.
What happens if I am only 30 weeks and already look like a fair pumpkin, where do I go from here?
you and my friend are both due this week, she’s hoping to be popped by friday. hope everything comes out okay, can’t wait to see pictures of her :)
