The phone rang last night just as I was fluffing my pillow and preparing to call it a day.  Steve walked in with the phone and said, “It’s BlogHer calling.”  When I pressed the receiver to my ear I heard, “Hi, Amanda!  This is Simon!”  We talked for a few minutes, then he passed me off the lovely Leah.  We gabbed for a while and she made me feel all warm and fuzzy, assuring me that I am missed at this year’s conference. Then Angella came on the phone and filled me in on her experience thus far.  It all sounds like so much fun!  Only 368 days till it’s my turn.  In the mean time, that late-night phone call from two of my favourite bloggers and my local home-town hero will help to soothe my chapped heart.

PS:  Thanks, Ange, for making your cell phone available for the call.  It must have cost you $97 in roaming charges.  I won’t tell Matt.
