In all the hoopla of our health-challenged holiday (I heart alliteration), I failed to tell you about some of the great Christmas gifts I received.
Last week, a house full of puking family members. This week, a daughter with an ear infection, eye infection, inflamed tonsils and a hacking cough.
I am not a puker. The only times I have thrown up in the past decade are when I got a concussion and while I was in labour. I have the stomach of a horse.
We just blew in from a windy, rainy drive home from Vancouver. We spent the weekend there visiting family and friends and all I can say is that I am verah, verah tried. Traveling with a toddler is work.
Avelyn is a borderline strong-willed child.
Today marks my final day in the prairies. Come tomorrow morning, at 6 am, Avelyn and I will be drifting through the clouds on an airplane.
